Sunday Worship Services at Lone Hill Church

Worship with Us!

Sunday Morning Service — 9:30 a.m.
Sunday Second Hour Classes — 11:30 a.m.
for Children, Youth, and Adults

Sunday worship services at Lone Hill Church are a time of Christ-centered, Christ-exalting praise and teaching. We are a welcoming fellowship of Christians who seek to find a greater sense of Christ’s presence through worship, the preaching and teaching of His Word, the celebration of the Lord’s Supper, and prayer. Lone Hill Church has structured its worship service after Acts 2:42, “And they devoted themselves to the apostles teaching and the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and the prayers.”

We know that Lone Hill Church isn’t for everyone. But, it may be just the right place for you. If “mega-churches" are not for you, then join us for something different. If you do not personally know Jesus, we will introduce you. If you know Him, we want you to continue to grow in His grace and the knowledge of Him. The community of believers at Lone Hill Church is here to support and encourage you. If you need some Christian friends or a safe place to grow as a follower of Christ, we invite you to join us Sunday for a worship service at Lone Hill Church. Our family worship center offers opportunities throughout the week for the entire family to grow closer to our Lord and Savior.

Here are some answers to questions asked by those searching for a new church home:

  • What is the service like? +

Worship at Lone Hill Church is designed to bring the congregation into the presence of Christ for praise and thanksgiving, for believers to receive the Lord’s Supper, prayer, and for teaching. Young and old worship God together in a friendly, casual setting. We are a non-denominational church but follow a typical Protestant order of service that includes:
    • Worship Singing
    • Special Music
    • Reading of God’s Word
    • Teaching
    • Praise and Prayer
  • Is music part of the worship service? What style of music do you use? +

Our music is worshipful in style and mellow in sound. It is geared for participatory worship rather than entertainment. We sing both praise songs as well as Gospel hymns. Our desire is to exalt Christ and bless Him with our worship. It is usually led by an ensemble of musicians and singers.
  • How is the Word of God preached? +

Pastor Sam Kim brings the truth of God’s Word every Sunday by expository, verse by verse, teaching and preaching. He seeks to honor Paul’s instructions to Timothy, "devote yourself to the public reading of Scripture, to exhortation, to teaching" (1 Tim. 4:13). The receiving of God’s Word into our minds and hearts is a most powerful and transforming means of grace. Bring your Bible, a humble heart and a hunger for righteousness. We will set the table to make sure you are spiritually fed.
  • What is your practice of offerings/tithing? +

We believe that believers should learn to tithe (Mal. 3:5-12) their income for “where your treasure is, there your heart will be also” (Mt 6:21). Following our celebration of the Lord’s Supper, we receive the offerings of those who are convicted to give to the Lord’s work (1 Cor. 16:2). Scripture instructs us that the giving of tithes and offerings is an important part of whole-hearted worship.
  • What about your observation of the Sacrament of Communion? +

Our Lord Jesus Christ introduced and commanded His Church to observe two sacraments or ordinances: Baptism (being immersed in water in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit after a confession of faith, Mt. 28:18-20) and Communion (also the Eucharist) or the Lord’s Supper. We practice “open communion,” which means that all baptized and confessing believers may join us in the celebration of the Lord’s Supper. The Supper is presented as a specific means through which our Lord is present with His Church and provides strengthening and grace for His Church. We celebrate the Lord’s Supper each Lord’s Day in our Sunday morning worship service.
  • Is there Sunday School? +

We offer classes for children, youth and adults at 11:30 a.m. following the Sunday worship service. We refer to them as our Second Hour Classes. This allows families to worship together, while also allowing individuals to grow in their faith and knowledge of the Word through our classes. Get Details
